they would NEVER call them again if they needed a temp. If there was ACCOUNTABILITY, the agcney would have told my friend that if was only for 4 weeks. Once I worked for a temp agcney that told me they could only pay me $14 per hour to do a field service job when I should have been making at least $16 or more for all the experience I had and when my manager at the company asked how much I was being paid by the agcney, I told him I was not at liberty to tell him. The manager told me that he liked me and I was a good field service tech and disclosed that the company was paying the AGENCY $24.50 per hour for me. I was ready to quite, but decided to call the agcney and let them know that I wanted to find a job that paid better and the recruiter told me he was authorized to give me an immediate $1 an hour increase. If there was ACCOUNTABILITY I would have asked for more from the beginning. Agencies should have a limit to how much they can CUT OUT from the pay the companies are paying so that the employee is not RIPPED OFF as I was by a gready agcney. I must add that the agcney did give me a free Mug and T-Shirt with there name on it. WOWBefore this election lets ask the candidates what they would do to change the way agencies and companies work together to make excessive profits off their recruites and save lots of money by keeping temps for much longer than necessary. ACCOUNTABILITY would separate the poor, garbage liing agencies from the good ones or at least make the ones that are somewhat good better and the bad ones would dissapear due to huge fines they would have to pay for not being ACCOUNTABLE. Companies would hire more full time people that they should have hired sometimes years ago or they would also face large fines. The workers would be able to blow the whistle so to speak on losy agencies or cheap companies and finally be treated with fairness and respect. After all we are all human beings triing to make a living and being ripped off as has been for so long is NOT ACCEPTABLE any more. Lets see what the new Provincial Goverment will do to bring in ACCOUNTABILITY.
